How Does the Current Suppressor Transfer Process Work at ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company?

Beginning September 1, 2026, qualifying customers may complete a suppressor transfer through ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company using ATF Form 4473 and Virginia Form SP-65 without a Form 4 submission. Every transfer remains subject to eligibility verification, an approved background check, and all requirements in effect at the time of transfer.

Who may qualify?

A customer must have a current qualifying path covered by the applicable federal injunction. Examples may include:

• Current Gun Owners of America membership established before visiting ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company.

• A qualifying customer relationship involving Silencer Shop, Palmetto State Armory, SilencerCo, B&T USA, or another covered plaintiff-based source.

• Another eligibility path that ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company determines is covered.

ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company must verify eligibility before completing the transfer. Membership or customer status alone does not guarantee approval.

What should I bring?

• A valid, current government-issued photo ID showing your legal name, date of birth, and current residential address.

• Proof supporting your qualifying eligibility path.

• Your ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company pickup notification or order information.

• Any remaining payment or applicable transfer fee.

Is there a transfer fee?

The Class 3 transfer fee is $125 when the suppressor was purchased from another store and transferred through ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company. That fee does not apply when the suppressor is purchased directly from ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company.

Important GOA membership rule

Customers using the Gun Owners of America path must complete their membership before coming to the store. ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company staff cannot enroll customers, and store computers or tablets cannot be used for enrollment.

Because court orders, agency guidance, and eligibility requirements can change, ISFA-4 Defense Supply Company will confirm the process and required documents at the time of transfer. Customers who do not qualify for this pathway may be subject to the standard suppressor-transfer process.
